Hi all

I'm Gareth and live in Worcester well just out side if it.

Been into cars for years now, last 4/5 years I have been building an off road truck to go do pay and play days etc.
Loved kit cars since I was kid, been to a few shows and looked at many sites and discussions and have decided I want to buy a nd build a zero based on the mazda, so planning to get a donor car and drive for a few weeks make sure it's all good, then start to strip it and when I do place an order for the mazda kit. Now I only have a starting budget of about 4k,so planning to get as much as I can with this, this does not include the donor, I have a separate budget for that. I know I won't get a lot apart from the main starter kit and may be some brake lines and fuel lines etc but it's a start, I'm hoping with this and the donor parts I can make a good start then I will be buying weekly/monthly to carry the build on.

Not sure if this is the right way to go but you never know till u try I guess

Hi Gareth, welcome to the forum. I built similarly to how you are planning as I was constrained by finances for my build. I've just bought bits as and when and roughly followed the gbs build order. Steve is really good at advising on what is needed next and accommodating however much cash I have at the time. I have gone the ford route but that's only a minor difference ?

I'm only down the road from you in Gloucester, welcome to come and look at a nearly finished car if you like.
