Has anyone else had a problem with the new style exhaust cracking? Just had mine out the garage for a warm up and noticed the weld in front of the silencer is cracked 90% around and is just being held on at the top. Not a welder myself, so whats the best solution?

I don't have the same exhaust but I presume you have a Zetec (?) and the large GBS Silencer and manifold, with the exhaust mount that secures under the tail pipe and has a spring over the tailpipe to hold it down?

If it isn't broken; take it apart and fix it!

We have not seen any problem with this, however we are keen on getting feedback from owners.

Can you ring Richard and explain the problem, there may be a logical reason why this has happened, I do not know of any other occurrences personally.

That's good news, back to enjoying the car then.

Any explanation as to why the crack appeared? Anything anyone can do to avoid the same issue or was it unique to your car/exhaust system?

Cheers,

Henry
