I've started a blog for my Mazda GT chassis build.
I hope you'll enjoy reading it and gain something to help you build yours. Please feel free to comment and guide me where I may be going wrong.

nice setup,

do like the work you have put into diff and brakes, it is the touches like that, that make a build stand out.

The detail of fitting the bushes is also good, and it is very clear you have taken some time and effort to get them right, the only thing, and this is NOT criticism, is the length of the eye tubes, I may have it wrong but did you have need to shorten them?

Good job, keep posting, others do not, and I have spent many, costly to them, hours putting things right.

Thanks Simon, Mitch for the compliments.
It's tempting to just bolt things on and get the build done, but i know later that i'll regret it, even if others don't see my bodge, i'll know its there !
The key is , when i start to get impatient i then realise it's then time to down tools.

Simon;
I'll accept ALL the criticism you wish to give me. Gratefully accepted from the ZERO GURU LaughWink
No i haven't modified the eye tubes. They have been fitted as supplied from GBS as i was led to believe the length was to spec. I'm aware that previous builders have had to size them accordingly as per your blog, but the looked right to me.
You have got me a little worried now though, too short / long ???Confused

Sorry Simon, but while i've got your attention, what is the large hole in the chassis floor near the diff flange for?Confused

Hole is to gain access to prop bolts if required, you can do it from the tunnel top but its tight when everything is built

As for tube length,

You are pushing poly bushes into a wishbone tube, are they all the same width? do the bushes all have the same size flange? is the powder coating the same thickness? are you applying the same load each time? do they all end up the same width?

Is the tube the same as the assembled width?

Quite possibly, but there are a lot of variables in there.

None of the wishbones are fitted permanently yet, so when I come to fitting the side panels for good I'll check the bush widths etc..
As mentioned , I didn't trim any of the tubes so I hope none of them need to be longer !
Thanks for your reply
